Moving a child out of a cot or setting up a small guest space calls for something simple, and the Kyan Single Bed Base does the job without fuss. The timber frame is stained in a warm chestnut tone that suits a nursery-adjacent room just as well as a teenager's, so you won't need to replace it when tastes change. Timber slats support the mattress and let air move underneath, and six centre support legs along with four main legs keep everything firm under active use. Single sizing leaves plenty of floor for a desk, toy storage or a bookcase. The mattress is sold separately. It arrives flat packed, with assembly needed before the first night.
